Oleh Sozansky:

Oleh Sozansky, born in Ukraine, is a graduate of the Mykola Lysenko Higher State Music Institute in Lviv. A graduate of professor Vasyl Herasymenko's bandura class, has performed throughout Ukraine, western Europe and North America. Oleh is the first prize laureate of Liudkevych International Music Competition held in Canada, 1995.

As one of professor V. Herasymenko's most talented graduates, he implements the creative ideas of his teacher in his artistic performances.

Oleh does not confine himself to the stereotype of treating the bandura as just a folk instrument. He has incorporated many new technical innovations, significantly increasing the technical potential of bandura.

His repertoire includes classical transcriptions of works by Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, as well as works by Ukrainian composers, Bortniansky, Lysenko, etc., in his concert repertoire. He has reecently released a CD in Canada.
