The battle drums began their battle beat. Horses and riders surging forward faster as the Earth quaked under their feet. Their swords unsheathed astride their steeds all the Turks could hear was the Cossacks cheer Zaporozhtsi. Mykola rode as if on the wind wishing his young son were beside him he thought of his wife and the Sichan Life as an arrow pierced his heart He fell face first on the beloved Earth its taste reassuring |
