On 10 October 1997, the Reform MP for Dauphin-Swan River, Mr. Inky Mark, rose in the House of Commons to endorse the Ukrainian Community's request for ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of the injustice done to Ukrainians and other Eurpoeans during Canada's first national internment operations of 1914-1920 and for the RESTITUTION of the wealth confiscated from the internees, some of which was never returned and so remains in the federal treasury to this date.
