Taras Rohatyn Elected President of UNF Oshawa

The Ukrainian National Federation Oshawa Durham Region Branch held its 1st Annual General Meeting on February 21, 2010 since its rebirth a little over a year and a half ago. Outgoing Branch President Walter (Volodymyr) Kish called the meeting to order and the Branch Auditing Committee verified that there was quorum present to constitute the AGM.

All members of the executive were invited to present their reports. On behalf of the Auditing Committee, Alexandra Kish stated that branch financial records and recording of meeting minutes were in order, thus allowing absolution of the 2009 Branch Executive.

The following individuals were elected to the 2010 UNF Oshawa Branch Executive: President – Taras Rohatyn, Vice-President – Walter Kish, Treasurer – Oksana Macko, Secretary – Daria Kish, Member-at-Large – Stefania Bazylewicz.

The Auditing Committee consisting of Alexandra Kish, Natalia Rohatyn and Doris Cherkas remains the same.

Newly-elected President Taras Rohatyn, addressed the meeting indicating that it was a privilege to serve as the Branch’s President. He announced that he has already submitted a 12-month plan for the UNF Oshawa Branch and plans to hold regular meetings at a minimum of every 2 months. He also thanked Olya Grod for attending, her first official branch function visit since starting as Executive Director at the UNF of Canada Board of Directors.
