UCC Encourages Participation in National Volunteer Week

April 13, 2012 – Canada’s National Volunteer Week April 15 - 21, 2012 celebrates volunteers, volunteerism and civic participation of individuals who have led positive change in all areas of Canadian society.

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) asks that individuals across Canada take this opportunity to support their heritage by volunteering their time and give back to their community.

“The UCC has many committees, branches and member organizations across Canada that are only as strong as our volunteers. We need the community in order to make them work effectively,” stated UCC National President Paul Grod. “This is an excellent opportunity for… high school diploma community service hours.”
