UNF Sudbury Spring Tea Brings Out Crowd

On Sunday, April 10, over 600 people attended the Spring Tea at the Ukrainian National Federation Sudbury Branch Hall. Delicious unlimited sandwiches, wraps, rolls, vegetable platters, pickles, olives, onions and fresh home-made pastries were served with tea, coffee and juice. Home-baked cookies, tortes, cakes, khrusty and Easter Paskas were also available for sale.

All UNF members and volunteers worked very hard for a week straight baking, cooking and making sandwiches for this event. Volunteers from The Dnipro Veselka Cultural and Educational Society came out in force, including dancers from the Veselka School of Dance youth group. Marylyn Vervega with her sisters Nancy and Stella, and others organized a Penny Table - a major success and fundraising endeavour. Over 90 items were donated for the penny table from local businesses and volunteers.

Once again, all chipped in and made the Spring Tea was a very successful fundraising event for the UNF Sudbury Branch.
