Direct From Ukraine Music Sensation

Mad Heads XL

Headlines at Toronto Ukrainian Festival in Bloor West Village

September 17 – 19, 2010

In its 14th year, the Toronto Ukrainian Festival continues to be one of the most anticipated events of the season, and especially so this year as it presents Ukraine’s music sensation MAD HEADS XL in Bloor West Village on Saturday night, September 18th, 2010 (see www.madheads.kiev.ua). “Thanks to the generous support of the Ukrainian Credit Union, Aerosvit Airlines and Four Points Sheraton Hotel by the Lakeshore, we are delighted to present one of Europe’s most popular bands”, says Jurij Klufas, Festival chairman. Since 2004, MAD HEADS XL has unleashed a wild rock ’n’ roll drive enriched with new musical influences, among them elements of ska, reggae and Ukrainian folk. The musicians’ great live performances turn any concert into an unforgettable show, making the audience part of it whether it’s a small club or a huge open air concert event.

Discover Ukrainian culture in Canada and share the Ukrainian spirit at “North America’s Largest Ukrainian Street Festival.” This is your opportunity to experience Ukrainian culture and hospitality at its best!  As always there will be non-stop entertainment with Ukrainian performers from the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, the USA and Ukraine which will include dancers, vocalists and musicians. Don’t miss the youth segment on the Grand Stage at Jane Street!  And if you wish – join the dancing at the evening Zabava/Street Dance on both Friday and Saturday.

You will find vendor kiosks: delicious authentic Ukrainian food and beverages, beautiful souvenirs, interactive pavilions, and more. This year, you can also enjoy the Sidewalk Sale, shopping at the local Bloor West Village businesses. There is a midway for kids and youth. Take in the colourful parade on Saturday morning at 11 am.  This festival is a wonderful experience for the entire family.
