Vladimir (Vlad) Kapty

1931 - 2010

President of UNF St. Boniface Branch

Vlad Kapty passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and can now rest peacefully as he joins his beloved wife Lesia. Vlad will be sadly missed by his only daughter Darusia and her husband John Kozelko, his loving grandchildren and large extended family both in Canada and Ukraine.

 As a young man, Vlad was a member of the Ukrainian National Youth Federation (MUNO). He then joined the Ukrainian National Federation (St. Boniface Branch) where he remained active until his passing. He was the President of the UNF St. Boniface Branch, St. Boniface Ukrainian Foundation, Oseredok Foundation and served on the boards of the Orlan Ukrainian Folk Ensemble, Carpathia Credit Union and Oseredok.  As well, he was a member of the O. Koshetz Choir for over 50 years.

The Ukrainian National Federation of Canada Board of Directors and Affiliated Organizations – UWO, UNYF and UWVA along with The New Pathway Publishers extend their heartfelt condolences to the family, as well as their recognition and gratitude for the lifelong service of Vlad Kapty to the Ukrainian National Federation of Canada and to the Ukrainian Canadian community at large.
