Correction Notice

In the The New Pathway Issue 35, September 6, 2007, errors and omissions are found on Page 8 in “Toronto Ukrainian Festival at Harbourfront”. Elements of a Ukrainian Wedding exhibited in the Marilyn Brewer Gallery and Loft included the wedding dress hand-sewn by Mrs. Anna Kuryliw for her marriage to Wasyl Kuryliw (long-time UNF and community supporters). The dress was not on loan but was donated to the Peter and Doris Kule Centre for Ukrainian and Canadian Folklore, University of Alberta. Sincere apologies are extended to their children Oksana, Ihor and Sonia for the errors and misspelling of the Kuryliw family name throughout the article and accompanying Page 9 photo. Wasyl Kuryliw was a pillar in our community and The New Pathway particularly acknowledges his generous contribution in the area advertising.

In the same article, The Wedding Show featured ancient wedding traditions and we ask readers to note that these were not specific to any one region of Ukraine.

From the Festival’s showcase of artistic performances, Ancestral Voices was performed by modern dance company MN2 Productions from Cleveland, Ohio.

We apologize for the errors and any confusion that may have occurred.
