Prime Minister To Address XIV Triennial Congress

October 7, 2013 – Toronto – With the 24th Triennial Congress of Ukrainian Canadians one-month away, organizers are finalizing details for an engaging weekend of discussion and decision-making. Registrations have been growing steadily and Ukrainian Canadians are encouraged to be a part of the dialogue, rapport and decision taking.

We are pleased to confirm session presenters and speakers who include Canadian Ambassador of Religious Freedom Andrew Bennett, Rector of Kyiv Mohyla Academy Serhiy Kvit and leaders of major political parties from Ukraine.

Session include: Ukrainian culture, language, Holodomor awareness on this, the 80th and most solemn anniversary, and “Ukraine- one year after its elections.”

We are excited to have an excellent lineup of speakers, including Prime Minister Stephen Harper who will be joining us Saturday evening,” stated UCC national president, Paul Grod. Paul also noted the importance of exchanging ideas at this Congress and he encouraged member organizations to maximize their delegate rosters. “This Triennial Congress is the key event. Here Ukrainians in Canada will be adding to an already thriving vision, giving our leadership a mandate for the future of our community.”

A new initiative being launched at the XXIV Triennial Congress is the Ukrainian Dragons project. “We are tapping into the experience and insight of Ukrainian Canadian entrepreneurs to inspire future generations of Ukrainian Canadian leaders,” stated Renata Roman.  “The Ukrainian Dragons are successful business owners committed to the development and promotion of the entrepreneurial spirit in our community.
