Kruty heroes, buried near Askold’s Tomb.
Askold’s Tomb is an historic place in Kyiv’s hills. Kyiv’s
Prince Askold, was buried there in 882. Since 1786, there has been a graveyard
– a burial place of many prominent public figures, scientists and cultural
workers. In March 1918, numerous young people killed in the Battle of Kruty
were solemnly buried in this place.
