Marina Lewycka at International Readings at Toronto’s Harbourfront
British novelist Marina Lewycka was born of Ukrainian parents in a refugee camp in Kiel, Germany, at the end of the war, and grew  
up in England.
Her first novel was the bestselling A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian, winning the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize (2005),
short listed for the Orange Prize and long listed for the Man Booker Prize. Her second novel, Strawberry Fields, tells with Lewycka’s
trademark wit the gritty story of a group of immigrants during an English country summer.
Lewycka will be reading from Strawberry Fields on Friday, October 19 at 8 pm.  (Premiere Dance Theatre) 
and will be in interview on Saturday, October 20 at 1 pm. (Studio Theatre) as part of the 28th Annual International Festival of Authors.
