OYK Annual Stratford Festival Excursion Trip
It was a beautiful sunny day on September 16, 2011, with just a nip of autumn in the air, as a group of 45 members and friends of the Ukrainian Women’s Organization (OYK), Toronto Branch, set off to Stratford, Ont. on their annual excursion to the Stratford Festival, North America’s largest classical repertory theatre. After a short bus ride (just 1 1/2 hours) from the UNF Toronto Community Centre, we stopped at the Swiss Chalet in Stratford for a leisurely lunch, and then proceeded to the Festival Theatre to see the current production of a classic - “Camelot”. We had centre orchestra seats and the show was excellent, but as one of our group commented: “At Stratford, you can’t go wrong”. It was a wonderful day, full of camaraderie and laughter and the satisfaction of time well spent. Next year, we’ll be attending another musical, “42nd Street” - perhaps you will join us?
