April 14 was a good day for a meeting between the National Executive of Ukrainian National Federation of Canada and members and prospective members of the St Catharines Branch. Roy Kostuk, National President, Les Salnick, Walter Maceluch, Bohdan Terefenko, and Genya Hunchak, along with Walter Kish, President of the New Pathway, and Taras Pidzamecky, CEO of Ukrainian Credit Union Limited. The St. Catharines Branch faces the problem where their most active members have reached an age where they arent as active, and there is a need for new younger members. The meeting ended with the sun coming out from behind the clouds. The prospective members are part of an unorganized immigrant group, primarily comprised of Ukrainians who emigrated from Poland to Canada in the early 1980s that are looking for an organisation where they can get involved and be part of the Ukrainian Canadian Community. They were interested in being UNF members.
