TORONTO, September 1 – In a gala awards ceremony organized by the Ethnic Press Council of Canada (EPC) at the National Trade Centre, Ihor Kopestynskyy, editor of the New Pathway, was presented an award for Outstanding Editorial and Design by Federal Heritage Minister Sheila Copps. The New Pathway was the only Slavic media outlet recognized among the 800 members of the EPC, which includes publications produced by numerous ethnic groups in over 120 languages.
