(TORONTO11/30/01) Introduced at KUMF by Myron Dylynsky, president of the Canadian Foundation of Ukrainian Studies, one of the backers of the project, on-line version initiator and manąging editor Roman Senkus described the 50-plus year journey of the Encyclopedia of Ukraine, which started in Sarcelles, France, under
Prof Volodymyr Kubijovyc. Finally, an Index to the Encyclopedia, the brainchild of the late Prof Danylo Husar Struk, has appeared after 4.5 years, informed Andrij Makuch, its editor. As for the on-line version, its project manager, Dr Marko Stech, called for funding as he demonstrated the live site, programmed by Jaroslaw and Walter Kiebalo and located at www.encyclopediaofukraine.com.
