(UWAC) The National Executive of the Ukrainian Womens Association of Canada (UWAC) has recently released some much-needed tools primarily aimed at educating Ukrainian youth in the spiritual aspects of life.

First in this series of educational aids is a book, titled For our Children Äëÿ íàøèõ ä³òåé. Published in cooperation with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada (UOCC) and the Ukrainian Self-Reliance League of Canada, it contains a selection of articles by Jane Luchak that appeared in the UOCC newspaper The Herald (Visnyk). Though For our Children is recommended for the audience named in the title, adults may find themselves rewarded and uplifted by reading the book. Valuable information is presented regarding religious and traditional feast days and customs. The UWAC encourages students and teachers of Sunday Schools, Ukrainian Schools and Bilingual Schools to obtain copies of this new publication.

An audiocassette and CD that consist of secular and religious songs round out the set of educational tools. Words to the songs are included in Ukrainian as well as in transliterated form. The songs are sung by children and the music was arranged by Rev Father A Harkavyi.
