Our Shevchenko Museum has attracted visitors from far and wide and has received many favorable comments and best wishes for the future. We are gratified and excited that Taras Shevchenko's life story and achievements find stiring responses from museum visitors.


Ever since its inception in 1952 this unique museum, with its art gallery and research library, have been devoted to popularizing the Bard of Ukraine, people's poet, artist and humanist, and has been operated and maintained, in the main, by volunteers.

We welcome new volunteers interested in participating in any aspect of museum operations: visitor hosting, publicity, mounting exhibitions, storing exhibits, general maintenance, etc...
