The sides discussed the current state of Ukrainian-Canadian relations. A.Zlenko and W.Graham noted the importance of development of cooperation, in particular of political dialogue, between the countries. The Canadian minister underscored that Ukraine is an important European partner for Canada, and for this reason Ottawa will support Kyiv in any possible manner on the way of building up a democratic and wealthy state. The collocutors also agreed on the urgent necessity of increasing the volume of bilateral trade-economic cooperation. In their exchange of opinions on European integration matters, W.Graham and A.Zlenko noted the significant progress achieved by Ukraine in implementing the Target Plan for 2003 and Ukraine-NATO Action Plan. W.Graham and A.Zlenko also discussed pressing international issues, in particular the situation around the post-conflict stabilization in Iraq.
