TORONTO - Familiar to audiences of The Fifth Estate, distinguished journalist Victor Malarek will read from his latest work Gut Instinct: The Making of an investigative Journalist, at this year's Ukes.in.Print book fair.

The author of four books, Mr. Malarek has won numerous honours for his work, including three prestigious Michener awards. A much-travelled journalist, Mr. Malarek has filed stories from Canada, the United States, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Thailand, Chile, Germany, Italy and Cuba.

Ukes.in.Prlnt is also pleased to feature Honey and Ashes, the latest book from prominent Canadian author Janice Kulyk Keefer. Hot off the presses, Honey and Ashes chronicles the journey of Ms. Kulyk Keefer's family from Ukraine to Toronto. Her earlier novel, The Green Library, was shortlisted for the Governor General's Award for fiction.

Celebrating Ukrainian culture through the printed word, Ukes.in.Print will feature dozens of vendors from Canada and the United States. Book lovers will discover new and rare books, collectibles, first editions, signed volumes, magazines, prints, books for children, tapes (audio and video), compact discs, and much more.

Hundreds of books in English and Ukrainian will be available on many topics, including art, music, literature, poetry, politics, history, Ukrainians in Canada, and of course, Ukrainian cooking.

Raffles, giveaways, story-tellers, face painting, and children's entertainers will be on hand, and Hanya's Cafe will provide delicious snacks for the occasion.
